As of right now, I've activated (I think) the function whereby new accounts can't post until I activate them. This is, as you might guess, a spam-control measure. Email me BEFORE you apply for an account. The barrage of spammers wanting authorization is deep enough that I'm just ignoring all requrests for new accounts unless alerted via email.

Addendum: Okay, here's the easiest way for this to work.

1) Set up your account, following the instructions.
2) Email me and make sure you tell me your account name.

That's it! I can easily find your account and give it permission that way.

Now I'm off to post a big, sticky READ THIS FIRST thread.
